An information workshop on NCP and Ideal-IST held today in Singapore
| April 8, 2010 |

A workshop (on invitation only) has been jointly organised today by the SEACOOP project and the EU-SEA-NET project under the aegis of the European Commission and of the ASEAN Secretariat at Fusionopolis, the headquarters of the Institute for Infocomm Research (the Singaporean partner of the SEACOOP project) in Singapore. The event was attended by representatives of the two projects, including two to three delegates for each SEACOOP partner (32 participants in total). The agenda included opening addresses and a series of presentations by SEACOOP and EU-SEA-NET experts who detailed the procedure, roles, duties and benefits of becoming a FP7 National Contact Point (NCP), for all FP7 thematic areas or only for the ICT theme, and of becoming a representative of the EU-funded Ideal-IST international ICT partner search network. In the coming months, all SEACOOP partners will consider these opportunities and may apply for becoming NCP ICT and/or Ideal-IST representatives, in order to be in an even stronger position to contribute to the development of cooperation with Europe on ICT research.
