ICT Policies and Programmes
ICT policies, programmes, and research priorities, at national and regional levels, are of course key in the definition of cooperation priorities in ICT research between Europe and Southeast Asia, which is one of the main goals of the SEACOOP initiative.
It is therefore essential to make sure that ICT policies, programmes, and research priorities, for both regions, are well documented.
A lot of information is available online concerning ICT policies and programmes in Europe namely produced in the framework of the “Europe 2020 Strategy” and of its “Digital Agenda for Europe” flagship initiativeĀ and in Southeast Asia. To complement this online information and provide any interested organisations with up to date and synthetic information, the SEACOOP partnership has been developing specific information.
The SEACOOP Southeast Asian partners have prepared in January 2010 the following synthetic presentations giving an overview of ICT status and perspectives in each of the 10 ASEAN countries:
- Brunei (prepared by UBD)
- Cambodia (prepared by NiDA)
- Indonesia (prepared by BPPT)
- Lao PDR (prepared by NAST)
- Malaysia (prepared by MDEC)
- Myanmar (prepared by UCSY)
- Philippines (prepared by ASTI)
- Singapore (prepared by A*STAR/I²R)
- Thailand (prepared by NECTEC)
- Vietnam (prepared by NCSTP)
Moreover, a consolidated and more detailed report, addressing ICT policies, programmes, and research priorities, in Europe and in Southeast Asia, is made available here. Do not hesitate to contact us for any questions you may have or further information you may need.
