SEACOOP has organised a series of events in Singapore, with the support of I2R, the SEACOOP Singaporean partner, from April 5 to 8, 2010.
On April 5-6 and on April 8 various meetings “on invitation only” have been organised: a SEACOOP consortium meeting, a meeting of the SEACOOP Advisory Committee, a SEACOOP – SEA-EU-NET joint workshop on FP7 NCP establishment, etc. Further information available here.
On April 7, an open cooperation forum on the theme “ICT for tomorrow’s cities” was organised, a theme encompassing intelligent traffic systems, energy management and smart grids, smarter and greener homes and neighbourhoods, e-services for all citizens, etc. and having a great potential for cooperation between Europe and Southeast Asia.
The objective of the event, organised under the aegis of the European Commission and of the ASEAN Secretariat, was to more precisely evaluate the research topics which could usefully be explored through joint projects on this theme, namely in the framework of the European Commission’s FP7 research funding programme.
